The Blood Shirt Elects Grant


Grant is elected President of The United States of America with 214 electoral votes to 80 against seymour.


The Era of Good Stealings


Jubilee Jim Fisk and Jay Gould  create a plot in 1869 to corner the gold market by bidding the price of gold so high that innocent profitable bussinessmen would be cornered to the wall. "Black Friday" on the 24th of 1869 was when the plan took place. Boss Tweed fraudelently hustlin New York of 200 million dollars... But in 1871 the Boss Tweed ring was silenced when evidence and politcal cartoons(provided by Thomas Nast) put Tweed in the hot seat. Tweed was prosecuted by Samuel J. Tilden and was locked away where he died behind bars.


A Carnival of Curruption


The Credit Mobilier scandal took place in 1872, Rail Road Companies earning as much as 348 percent. Also in 1874-2875 the Whiskey Ring robbed the Treasury of millions in excise tax revenues. President Grant's own cabinet was fillled with currupt, unlawful, people leading in a ring of curruption.
